General Terms and Conditions (GTC)

§ 1 Booking and Confirmation

All reservations for your Ayurveda holiday are non-binding until a deposit has been received in our account and your Ayurveda treatment has been confirmed by us. By making a booking, you automatically accept the General Terms and Conditions of Spirit of Life Resort in Sri Lanka.

As this is a package offer, services not used cannot be refunded. This also applies to services not taken during the course of the treatment.

§ 2 Check-in and Check-out

• Check-in: from 2:00 PM.
• Check-out: until 10:00 AM.
• Check-in and check-out times must be communicated at least 2 weeks prior to arrival via email to info@spirit-of-life-resort.com.
• If the room is available before 2:00 PM, early check-in is possible at no extra charge.

§ 3 Prices and Package Offers

The treatment price is a package price. The number of nights is decisive for the calculation.

• Services begin with check-in (2:00 PM) and end on the day of departure with check-out (latest 11:00 AM).
• Treatments start on the first day and end on the day before departure. For late return flights, treatments on the departure day may be possible.
• Additional services after check-out (from 11:00 AM):
  Lunch €30, Dinner €20, Treatment €150.
• All prices are final prices in euros, including local tax and 10% service charge.
• Special dietary requests (except vegetarian/vegan) are charged additionally per day.

§ 4 Payment Terms

• Deposit:
  At the time of booking, 50% of the total amount is due via bank transfer.
• Final payment:
  The remaining 50% must be paid no later than one week before arrival via bank transfer.
• A valid passport must be presented at check-in.

§ 5 Cancellation Policy

• Cancellations up to 30 days before the start of the treatment are fully refunded (50% deposit).
• Cancellations less than 30 days before the start of the treatment are non-refundable.
• We strongly recommend taking out travel cancellation insurance.

§ 6 Early Termination or Changes

If you need to cancel your Ayurveda treatment early or change services, we are not obligated to issue any refund. We recommend taking out travel interruption insurance.

§ 7 Liability and Medical Information

• Force Majeure:
  In cases of natural disasters, epidemics, pandemics, or political unrest, no refund will be issued. In such cases, we generally offer a free rescheduling.
• Medical Responsibility:
  The instructions of our Ayurveda doctors must be followed. The program is intended for health promotion and does not replace acute hospital treatment.
• Liability Disclaimer:
  We are only liable for allergic reactions or minor bruising in cases of intent or gross negligence. No liability is accepted for local noises, smells, or injuries caused by animals.
• Third-party Services:
  We assume no liability for services provided by third parties (e.g. transport, excursions).

§ 8 Jurisdiction

The place of performance and jurisdiction is Colombo, Sri Lanka.
